Opening Day!!!
Well, it's one of the most exciting days of the year, opening day for the Phillies, aka the one day I can dream of a record over .500 for my favorite team (although it might actually be in reach this year which is super exciting!). Last season I got super into baseball again, at least for most of the season, and I'm excited to see what happens this year. I won't bore you with many details, mostly because I haven't really followed spring training stuff this year, but let's just say that I'm looking forward to summer and baseball being a regular part of my life.
As for the rest of my life, things are going I guess. Exams are over for now, so that's super nice. It's about time to start planning for next semester and I'm honestly still not sure what classes I want to take. It's not like there aren't options though, it's just figuring out what options I want to choose. I'm hoping to do some service work too, so hopefully I will have enough free time. I'm excited to take basically all classes for my major though, because my gen eds this semester are irritating me.
Having a more chill week this week has really killed my productivity. I don't have a ton to do besides a 313 project, but every time I open it, I do two or three lines and then stop. Maybe it's because right now I'm just learning syntax for working with Assembly or C. Syntax always annoys me and I would rather be writing algorithms and fixing seg faults than debugging simple syntax errors. I think that's one of the reasons why I enjoyed 341 more than I was expecting to, because I only had issues with syntax a couple of times. Sure, hunting down seg faults can be kind of awful and almost pushed me to my breaking point a couple of times last semester, but at least they are easy to isolate and fix once you find them. Syntax errors are so annoying to me because if I don't understand the error message, then I have no idea how to fix them and I can't really test my code anymore until I figure out what's going on.
We have a new graph theory teacher! I feel really bad that Dr. Armstrong broke his ankle and I hope he makes a speedy recovery, but I'm excited because I desperately needed a breath of fresh air in that class. I really want to love the material but I haven't been getting a lot out of lecture. Class is also moved to night time, which is a bit unfortunate, but I'll survive that. Super excited for the first lecture tonight.
Anyway, I should probably get back to doing something productive.
Until next time.
