An Introduction
If you are reading this, there is a good chance you know who I am. But on the off chance you don't, welcome! I'm Emily. I'm currently 19, a sophomore in college and struggling my way through gateway courses in two different majors in one semester (You didn't think Real Analysis was hard enough? Here, have a side of Data Structures!). I study mathematics and computer science. Math is my passion and has been for basically as long as I remember. I am also a proud Catholic, and trying my best to make my relationship with God the most important part of my life. What else? I'm an obsessive baseball fan and the Phillies are my favorite sports team. I'm always in a better mood when I'm listening to my favorite music. Currently, I'm really digging everything Cimorelli is doing and my absolute favorite Britt Nicole just released her new album today. My favorite genre of music is electronic pop, and in that vein, I'm really enjoying DJ Snake and Major Lazer right now, although I'm always down for some OneRepublic or Demi Lovato. Favorite songs right now? DJ Snake's "Let Me Love You", "Up At Night" by Cimorelli, "Even So Come" by Passion, Matthew West's "Mended" and many others.
Oh yeah, I am a former home-schooler! I was home-schooled through high school and I definitely think that it was the best schooling option for me. I'm an introvert (INFP to be exact) and I'm just as happy doing homework or listening to music by myself as I am spending time with my friends adn family. Another unique thing about me is that I've been vegetarian my whole life. My mom made that choice for out family when I was a baby and now, even though I'm in college and could eat meat if I wanted to, it's just easier for me to stick to the diet I've had for my whole life (plus, I'm terrified I would get sick).
I'm obsessed with Survivor, The Amazing Race and Big Brother, that's a thing. I'm not a big movie person, but I think my favorite movie of all time is "42: The Jackie Robinson Story." I'm obsessed with the color purple. Actually, I'm obsessed with a lot of things. It's just the kind of person I am. I either really love something or I just don't care about it.
Anyway, that's a quick summary of what I feel is important to know about me as a person. I'm excited to start this new adventure of blogging about my life. I had a baseball blog 3 or 4 years ago, but I really want to get back into blogging and baseball season is almost over, so I decided to give this a try. Hopefully you find my daily escapades interesting enough to follow me along the journey I call life.
