Post Titles are Hard

So I went to an Orioles game this weekend. And I guess I had fun. I got to hang out with a couple friends I hadn't seen in a while and ballpark food is kind of incredible (even for a vegetarian!). But the game itself was sooooo boring. I'm not one to usually complain about baseball being boring, but when you don't have a vested interest in either of the teams playing (outside of maybe three players total), a third inning run and a Manny Machado home run just doesn't cut it. It was never really close, although it could have been I guess. I think that I really need the radio or TV commentary to pull my focus entirely into a game, especially if it's not the Phillies (or heck, even the Nationals).  The only really interesting moment of the game was when Machado slid into Dustin Pedroia, and even then, I think was I one of the only ones who realized what weight the situation held. I hadn't actually seen it happen (like I've said, I'm easily distracted) so I was frantically checking Reddit to see who actually got hurt. That whole situation was unfortunate. But yeah, all in all, it was baseball, so it was okay, but the game itself definitely could have been better.

As for the past week, it definitely hasn't been awful. Probably a solid 6/10. I was super stressed out on Tuesday/Wednesday and because of that I was really tired later in the week, but I got all of my work done eventually. Saturday was gross and rainy, but I ended up chilling in the library all afternoon and I think that change of location was good for me. Saturday night was a lot of fun because a couple of my friends and I had a game night (this is starting to become a weekly thing and I'm literally sooo excited!). We played a really fun game called Sheriff of Nottingham and now I really want to play it again (although it involves bluffing and I am not surprisingly terrible at it). Today was not bad either. I got my HW for 302 done so I can focus on studying for that exam tonight and tomorrow. I really really really want to do well on this exam so I don't have to worry too much about the final. That's been the main focus for the past couple of days. At this point I feel kind of prepared, but it could really go either way. I really want the A in this class though, because I want to be able to say that I got straight A's in all of the core classes for math. If I don't, I guess it's not the end of the world, but I really trying my hardest to succeed in this class.

Until next time.

  1. Same. I've been to only one baseball game, and I can attest to their boringness. Probably because I don't follow baseball and don't have a vested interest in it... haha. That's good that your week was 6/10. That's a passing grade ;)

Good luck on your exam!! I'll be praying for you. :) - R
